Some causes just are just not ‘cool’ enough to fight for. The objective of this project was to introduce the issue of the decreasing honey bee population to an audience that may otherwise not be interested, allow them to engage in raising awareness. These t-shirts were designed with an audience of young men 16-25 in mind. This is reflected in the strong, masculine representation of the fragile bee. The type is edgy and gives the design a rebellious tone, sparking a sense of urgency and aggression. The bold illustration demands attention and a call for action. Young men can wear this simply as a fashion statement, or to make a statement.
